Reverend Dr. Jennifer Cook

Dr. Jennifer S. Cook, ordained by the United Church of Christ, serves as the 27th Pastor of Thompson Congregational Church, U.C.C. in Thompson, Connecticut. Established in 1728, the church is a towering landmark across from one of the most beautiful commons in New England.

Dr. Cook is originally from the suburban east side of Cleveland, Ohio. She is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a BA in English and Journalism. Jennifer earned the degrees of Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio and she did her clinical pastoral education (CPE) at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic.

Jennifer brings to her position experience with grief and loss, hands on mission work, blended worship and extensive education which includes coursework in Leading the Church in the 21st Century. She is also a doctoral student advisor and adjunct faculty at Ashland Theological Seminary.

Pastor Jenny has served the church throughout her life in various capacities. She worked in the music ministry, Christian education and most recently in ordained church leadership at Barrington Congregational Church, U.C.C. in Rhode Island.
